How it all
started…
A Family passion.
Gallrein Farms is a third-generation family farm rooted in a long-standing tradition of agriculture. The Gallrein family began farming in Jefferson County in 1929, laying the foundation for what would become Gallrein Farms. In 1971, William (Bill) Gallrein Sr. continued the family’s farming legacy by purchasing the Shelby County farm.
His son, Bill Gallrein Jr., represents the third generation of Gallrein farmers and worked alongside his family in the dairy business until the mid-1970s, when the operation expanded into vegetables, grain, and tobacco. In 1990, Bill Jr. and his wife, Randie, opened the Gallrein Farm Market to provide the community with fresh produce grown right on the farm.
Today, Bill Jr. and Randie Gallrein proudly own and operate Gallrein Farms, continuing the family’s farming tradition while growing the farm into the destination it is today. We invite you to visit Gallrein Farms and experience the passion for agriculture that has been passed down through generations.
